New WHO guidance notes on malaria vector control

WHO issued one recommendation and two guidance notes on vector control following the latest Malaria Policy Advisory Committee (MPAC) meeting.

Following the latest meeting of the Malaria Policy Advisory Committee (MPAC), WHO has issued one recommendation and two guidance notes on vector control: Achieving universal coverage with LLINs in malaria control outlines strategies for combining campaigns with continuous distribution; Capacity building for entomology and vector control provides the rationale and elements to be addressed to strengthen this capacity at country level and; Estimating functional survival of LLINs from field data provides guidance to countries to track LLIN durability, a critical step in efforts to improve quality and value-for-money.
